The CellBox-Lite connects to the PBX as an analog extension. You can use it for incoming calls as a remote mobile phone extension and as an outgoing Cellular Gateway.

Mobile Phone Extension

There are two ways for users outside the office to connect through CellBox-Lite to the PBX (using CLIP/SMS authentication) and receive an internal dial tone from the PBX:

Direct dial to the CellBox-Lite. If the unit recognizes the calling ID, it either provides a dial tone or calls back to the user's predefined number, depending on the user's setting.

Send the CellBox-Lite a specially coded SMS. If the unit recognizes the coded message, it calls back to the sender's predefined number, depending on the sender's setting.

Once connected, the user can make calls through the office telephone system as though calling from an internal extension.

Extension Cellular Gateway

Dial the internal extension number of the CellBox-Lite to receive a dial tone. You can now use it to make mobile-to-mobile calls, eliminating landline carrier interconnection fees. You can define up to 20 prefixes in a Black (Restriction) or White (Allowed) list.
