The AspireMail DMS is our new hard drive based system that replaces the AspireMail Plus and provides your customers the time-saving convenience of Desktop Messaging. This allows users to access both their email and their voice mail from one convenient location - their email Inbox. You can see in the
example below the three voice messages waiting for this telephone user: two voice mails from internal callers, and one from an outside caller which includes the caller's number that was provided by Caller ID. Each voice message is attached to an email (note the paper clip indicating an attachment) as a .WAV
file.
The new AspireMail DMS comes equipped with twenty-five (25) seat licenses for Desktop Messaging, and these licenses can be expanded up to a system maximum of 205 seat licenses in increments of 10 seat licenses.
In addition, the new AspireMail DMS comes equipped with twenty-five (25) seat licenses for Desktop Call Control. The screen pop below appears on each user's PC when they have an incoming call. The telephone user can then choose how to handle the call:
* Do nothing, and the call will follow programmed routing.
* Accept the call immediately.
* Greet the caller with a voice prompt asking them to wait on hold.
* Transfer the call to a preset destination, or
* Send the caller directly to your mailbox.
Another nice part of Desktop Call Control is the Call Control Log which keeps track of calls to you - even if the caller didn't leave a voice mail message.
The new AspireMail DMS is available in a 4 port (p/n 0891030) or an 8 port (p/n 0891031) configuration and uses a hard drive for memory storage. Either system can be expanded up to the maximum size of 16 ports.
The DMS features three expansion options. There is a 4 port software expansion (p/n 0891010) which can expand a 4 port system into an 8 port system. There is also an 8 port daughter board (p/n 0891036) which can expand a 4 port to a 12 port or an 8 port system to 16 ports. The third option (p/n 0891020) lets customers expand Desktop Messaging and Desktop Call Control in increments of 10 seat licenses up to a maximum of 205 users/licenses.
The AspireMail can act as a Centralized Voice Mail with
AspireMail DMS: 3.54 or higher
Aspire System S/W: 5.21 or higher.
when using the AspireMail Centralized VM feature in an Aspire M 64 Port CPU (0891002) a PAL Chip Upgrade (0891039) is required for networking.
