The TP-POE Power over Ethernet (PoE Injector) power sources, offered by Tycon Power, provide reliable midspan power for years, even in the harshest conditions. These devices accept data input via a shielded RJ45 jack and deliver surge-protected data and power through a shielded RJ45 output jack. They efficiently supply power to the remote device using the unused Ethernet pins 4,5 (V+) and 7,8 (V-). For the “R” model, the voltage is reversed—pins 4,5 (V-) and 7,8 (V+). Additionally, the Ethernet specification supports distances of up to 100m (328 feet).
